Arlington Memorial High School & Middle School
Home of the Eagles
Arlington Memorial High School is a small, comprehensive high school located in
the beautiful Battenkill River Valley in Southwestern Vermont.  The school
serves approximately 230 students in grades 6 through 12 in a traditional eight
period day format, with some block scheduling where appropriate.  Students
come to the school from the towns of Arlington, Sandgate, Sunderland,
Bennington, Pownal, and Manchester. The population of Arlington area is
approximately 4,000.  Arlington has a rich cultural and historical heritage.  
Norman Rockwell, Dorothy Canfield Fisher, Thomas Chittenden (the first
governor of Vermont), and many other notables in the world or art, literature,
and history once called Arlington home.  Community support in Arlington is
unprecedented.  Our new 140 seat performing arts center was funded entirely
by community members and local businesses.  The Arlington Park and Recreation
Association hosts many of our athletic events.

Senior High School
A comprehensive curriculum is offered to students in grades 9 through 12.  
Co-curricular activities enhance the academic environment and include music
(band & chorus), theatre, athletics, National Honor Society, yearbook, and the
Eagles' Nest (a student run newspaper).  Students participate in the Governor's
Institutes of Vermont, Close-Up, Student Council, Boys and Girls State, and
National Youth Conferences.  Students attend the regional, state and New
England music festivals and trips travel to France, Washington DC, and Disney
World.

Memberships and Accreditations
College Board, VT Department of Education, New England Association of
Schools and Colleges, and the Vermont Principals Association.

Faculty
There are thirty-three faculty members, approximately half of whom hold
advanced degrees.  Each grade is assigned faculty advisors, and many faculty
members serve as leaders of a variety of school clubs, activities, and sports.
