Arlington Memorial High & Middle School Home of the Eagles
Arlington Memorial High School is a small, comprehensive high school located in the beautiful Battenkill River Valley in Southwestern Vermont. The school serves approximately 230 students in grades 6 through 12 in a traditional eight period day format, with some block scheduling where appropriate. Students come to the school from the towns of Arlington, Sandgate, Sunderland, Bennington, Pownal, Manchester, Dorset, and Danby. This area of Vermont is a small, close knit community of family farms and businesses with a focus on school activities and their importance in the development of its young people. With both elementary and high schools renovated within the last eight years and the addition of the new performing arts center, Arlington boasts the Martha Canfield Memorial Library adjacent to the schools. The Arlington Park and Recreation Association hosts many of our athletic events. Arlington is proud to have been the home of artist, Norman Rockwell, First Governor of Vermont, Thomas Chittenden, writer, Dorothy Canfield Fisher, and many other notables in the world of art, literature, and historic battles.
