Come Celebrate You!!! The class of 2008 is the eighty-fourth class to receive their diplomas from Arlington Memorial High School. For 70 years alumni have gathered together at various locations to celebrate our high school, reunite with old classmates and friends, and share current and past stories of our lives at the alumni banquet. This year, on June 14th, we will again celebrate all graduated classes of AMHS, but wewill highlight the classes of 2003, 1998, 1993, 1988, 1983, 1978, 1968, and 1958which are celebrating anniversaries. We are excited to join together at the MountAnthony Country Club to celebrate each other and hope that you’ll be able to attend. Dinner will be offered as a buffet including: salad, rolls, a choice of a chicken or beef entrée, a vegetarian pasta dish, seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes, coffee, tea, and dessert. All of this, tax, gratuity, and entertainment, will be available for $35 per person. The Mount Anthony Country Club is also offering reduced rates for Saturday at the golf course for all attendees of the banquet. Greetings AMHS Alumni: The Arlington Alumni Association Committee is thrilled to let you know that lastyear’s Alumni Banquet was a huge success. Members from the class of 1957 joined together to celebrate their 50th anniversary and had a blast reminiscing about their days in high school. It was also an opportunity for all alumni to catch up withclassmates and friends who have been distanced for one reason or another. This invitation to the June 14th Alumni Banquet includes some exciting events. On Friday, June 13th, AMHS principal, Kerry Csizmesia, will again host an open house atthe high school from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tours of the Mack Performing Arts Center and renovated high school will be given. Meet with current, former, and retired facultymembers while enjoying light snacks and beverages courtesy of the high school. Graduation will follow on Saturday, June 14th, at noon in the high school gymnasium. The Alumni Banquet will be held that evening at the Mount Anthony Country Club inBennington with dinner, dancing, and socializing beginning at 6 p.m. There will be great door prizes to be given away, but you must be present to win. We have enclosed 50/50 tickets to help generate working funds to use for alumniassociated mailings, printed matter, and the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Award – given by the Alumni Association annually to two graduating seniors. The drawing for the 50/50will also take place at the banquet, but you need not be present to win. Simply send completed ticket stubs and payment to the address above. Please know that your alumni committee continues to work diligently to complete andupdate all alumni records.
