AMHS Spring Choral Concert

Arlington, Vt.,--After a long winter, it’s time to sing in Arlington.  The Arlington Memorial High School (AMHS) & Middle School Chorus will do just that when they perform during their annual Spring Choral Concert, Thursday, May 15, at 7 p.m. in the Mack Performing Arts Center.  The event is free and open to the community.

Arlington Music and Theater teacher Patti Cody said the Arlington Chorus wanted a traditional music theme for this year’s concert.  “The music for this concert is simply beautiful.  The students will sing amazing songs like “Danny Boy” and “Shenandoah” as well as some fun spirituals.  It’s sure to be a delightful concert.”

Arlington Choral members Michael Cervini and Dillon Hawley will perform solos during the concert.  Both students have received numerous accolades and honors for their musical talents including being named to the Vermont All State Chorus, Southern Vermont District Chorus and All New England Chorus.

For more information about the Choral Concert or the Arlington Music program, contact Cody at codyp@bvsu.org or 802.375.2589, extension 149.  You can visit the AMHS website at www.arlingtonmemorialhs.bvsu.org.  The Arlington School District mission is to create a safe, caring and respectful environment of academic excellence where students are uniquely challenged to reach their potential at the K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 levels.
