Bennington Elks Most Valuable Student scholarship.
Applications available in the Guidance office or on line at www.elks.
org/enf/scholars.
Deadline January 11, 2008.

WALMART Corporate Giving is offering the 2008 Sam Walton Community
Scholarship and is available at www.walmartfoundation.org.  
The deadline for entry is a postmark of January 14, 2008 for the online
submission and mailing of all required documents.

ESA Foundation Scholarships. Applications available in the Guidance office.  All
required attachments and application must be postmarked by February 1, 2008.

The American Legion of Vermont awarding several scholarships.  Applications are
available in the Guidance office.  Deadline April 1, 2008.

The Humane Society of the United States Shaw-Worth Memorial Scholarship.  
No standardized application form to complete.  The Guidance office has all the
information necessary to apply for this scholarship.  Deadline, all information
postmarked by March 17, 2008.

Vermont JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship.  Applications available in the
Guidance office.  Deadline, application postmarked by January 19, 2008.

AXA Achievement Community Scholarship.  Applications available at
www.axa-achievement.com.  
Apply by February 15, 2008.

Vermont Golf Association Scholarship.  Applications available in the Guidance
office and at
www.vtga.org.  
All completed applications are due by April 20, 2008.

Knights of Columbus Vermont State Council announces its 38th Annual Scholastic
Achievement Awards Program, with eight $600.00 scholarships to be awarded
this year.  Applications available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline February 15,
2008.

Monsanto Company, in association with the National Association of Farm
Broadcasting, will continue the annual
Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship Program .

Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, New England Chapter, Inc.  All seniors
who have asthma or significant allergies that plan to begin higher education after
high school.  Amount to be awarded is $1000.00  Application deadline is February

Vermont Grocers’ 2008 Scholarship Program.  Applications available by calling the
association’s Rutland office @800-842-8503 or you can write for an application
@ Vermont Grocers’ Assn.  Attn:  Scholarship Program 135 North Main Street –
Suite 5   Rutland, VT  05701-3238 Completed applications and supporting
materials must be postmarked no later than April 25, 2008.


Fraternal Order of Eagles and Auxiliary in Manchester, Vermont.  Applications
are available in the guidance office.

America’s Milk Processors and USA Today, bringing the 11th annual “Scholar
Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year”(SAMMY) 2008 Award Program.

Vermont Lions Hart Memorial Award intended for high school seniors that have a
disability or debilitating illness, that is attending a post secondary school in the
fall, and has shown stellar academic achievement and community involvement.

Vermont Association of Educational Office Professionals offering the Marion T.
Wood Scholarship.  Applications available in the guidance office.  All completed
applications need to be postmarked by February 15, 2008.  

Best Buy Scholarships reward students for work in school and out.

Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation is offering ten scholarships to students who live
within our marketing area.

A student is eligible to apply to only one scholarship.

VFW Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. Harned Fowler VFW Post.  
Scholarships given in memory of the late Phil Kelleher and John West.  
Applications available in the guidance office.  All completed information must be
taken to the Harned-Fowler Post by April 21.

American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion Post 69, Arlington.  Several
scholarships available, each having certain criteria.  Applications available in the
guidance office.  Most due by March 1, 2008

The Kiwanis Club of Manchester and the Mountains, Inc.  Applications available in
the guidance office.  Application deadline is March 31, 2008.

Vermont State Colleges are sponsoring a scholarship promotion The Pint Radio
Network and Milne Travel American Express.  One $5,000.00 Community
Service Scholarship to any of the state colleges for the 2008-2009 academic
year.  Applications available in the guidance office.  Due date April 4, 2008.

For students attending Vermont Technical College.  Applications available in the
guidance office.  Deadline is April 1, 2008.

Sons of the American Legion.  Any student who is planning to attend a trade
school or technical college, and whose grandfather, grandmother, step
grandparents, father, step father, mother, step mother. Adopted parents or
grandparents and brothers and sisters are a member of the American Legion
Family are welcome to apply for this scholarship.  Applications available in the
guidance office.  Deadline is April 1, 2008.

The Federated Church of East Arlington.  Selection is made on the good grades,
community service and need.  Scholarship open to all seniors.  Applications
available in the guidance office.  Deadline is April 15, 2008.

Miles Lumber Company, in memory of R.K. Miles   The scholarship will be awarded
to two seniors who have excelled in their four years in academics, extra
curricular activities, and community service.  Applications available in the
guidance office.  Deadline is April 15.

Arlington Nursing Service Memorial Scholarship.   Must be a resident of
Arlington, Sunderland, or Sandgate and is seeking to further his/her education in
a health related field.  Applications available in the guidance office.  
Deadline is April 15, 2008.

Arlington Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.   Open to all seniors.  Applications
available in the guidance office.  Deadline is April 25, 2008.

The Wes Carlson Future Educator Scholarship.  A scholarship based on record of
achievement, financial need, educational and community goals.  Applications
available in the guidance office.  Deadline is May 1, 2008.


Battenkill Grange #487.  This scholarship is awarded to a senior who is planning
to pursue a degree in agriculture or in the field of nursing.  Applications available
in the Guidance office.  Deadline is May 1, 2008.


DELTA KAPPA GAMMA SCHOLARSHIP.  A scholarship that is awarded to a
deserving student from a high school in the ETA Chapter area who intends to
pursue an education major in college.  Applications available in the guidance
office.  Deadline is May 5, 2008.

Red Mountain Lodge #63 F&AM.  Scholarship available to any senior who is
planning to attend an institution of higher learning.  Applications available in the
guidance office.  Deadline is May 1, 2008.

Arlington Garden Club  This scholarship will be awarded to a student residing in
Arlington, Sunderland, or Sandgate and graduating from Arlington High School,
who is seeking further education or skill development behyond high school at a
one, two, three or four-year college, vocational trade, or business school.  A
student seeking further education in an environmental area shall be given
preference, but the Club is looking for the best overall candidate.  Applications
available in the guidance office.  Deadline is May 15, 2008.

The 2008 Scott Thomas Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is not intended
for the college bound student, but for those aiming for tech school, trade school,
or other job training instruction.  Applications available in the guidance office.  
Deadline is May 15, 2008.

Joe Corey Memorial Scholarship. The applicant must have received a varsity
letter in any sport, and must submit an essay on the value athletics has played in
their development.  Applications available in the guidance office.  Deadline is May
15, 2008.

John Werner Scholarship.  This scholarship will be given to a senior boy and girl
who have played varsity soccer for Arlington High School.  The student must have
shown strong work ethic, academic success, and good sportsmanship while at
Arlington High School.  Applications available in the guidance office.  Deadline is
May 15, 2008.

American Legion Post #69 .  Scholarship available to all seniors regardless of
grades or type of school attending.  Applications available in the guidance office.  
Deadline is May 15, 2008.

Rizio-Wood Memorial Golf Scholarship
A scholarship to further your education in golf and/or agronomy.  Applications
available in the guidance office.  Deadline is June 3, 2008.

American Legion Auxiliary Unit #69
The American Legion Auxiliary “Graduation Gift Award”.  Applications available in
the guidance office.  Deadline is May 19, 2008.

Arlington Rescue Squad/John Hannon Memorial Scholarship.  To be eligible for
this scholarship you must be furthering your education in a medical field.  
Applications are available in the guidance office.  
Application due day Friday, May 11, 2008


The Vermont Funeral Directors Association Scholarship.  Applications available in
the guidance office.  Applications must be dropped off at a Vermont Funeral
Home no later than May 15, 2008.
