Mrs. Goodfellow and Mrs. Boynton, our nurses, provide comprehensive and
caring health care to the children of our community. They treat acute illnesses
and injuries, follow state mandated immunization laws, screen children for vision,
hearing and growth and development problems and often go into the classrooms
as guest lecturers to teach a variety of health topics. They also believe in
modeling a healthy lifestyle for the students. If a child is ill or hurt in some way,
he won't be able to learn as well in school. School nurses work hard to keep all
of the children healthy, so that they will be able to focus in the classroom.
