Located in the little town of Arlington, our school is fairly small, but
we have big activities. We have an annual school play and several
concerts. Our student population, K-6, is less than 300.

Arlington is located in the southwestern part of Vermont. We are part
of the Bennington County. It is situated between Manchester and
Bennington. Beautiful mountains surround our town of about 2,500
people. Arlington is known for being the home of Norman Rockwell,
the famous artist.

Our school is named after the famous writer, Dorothy Canfield Fisher
(1879-1958) who lived in Arlington. Fisher Elementary School was
built in her memory in 1958. The school was expanded in 1968 and
again in 1993. The Martha Canfield Free Library has been built next
to our school as well.
